Whilst walking I realised that the autumn colours are not as advanced here as further north in the country. Nevertheless, I was pleased too see a few red berries festooned along the hedgerow like Christmas tree baubles. They brightened up an otherwise plain hedgerow.

Shiny red berries
autumn garlands on my walk
festoon the hedges
As I walked, enjoying the sunshine and breeze, I noticed a single red berry.

a feast for a hungry bird
a lone red berry

I shall perhaps have a go at painting or drawing some berries, but not today.
