I added the final bit to my picture this morning. Risen, ascended, glorified is the final phrase of one of my favourite hymns – Lord enthroned in heavenly splendour. I preached my first sermon on the Sunday after Ascension, many years ago and remember that I quoted that line. I preached on Ascension Day at the evening service. I can’t reproduce it here as I did it from notes rather than typing it all our. And as I am short of time, I am not going to type it out now.
The picture was done over several times of prayer based mainly on my reflections from reading Paula Gooder’s book, Women of Holy Week: an Easter journey in nine stories.
This is all for now. I will try to post an update on my reading and praying through the bible soon. I am still doing it, just not had time to blog about it.
